A Christmas Card

יהוה

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.
And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

In this season of Christmas, may the love of God surround you and protect you.

May you be with family and loved ones, may the cares of the world fall away and may you find Peace.

And Love.

  2. well said. What most people don't realize about the ripping of the veil are the dimensions of the veil. People think of a little flimsy piece of silk when in fact the veil was 60 feet long 30 feet wide and roughly 6 inches thick. For it to split in two even from bottom to top would be pretty amazing but top to bottom?

    1. As I recall that veil WAS a very substantial piece of fabric.

    1. One thing I find fascinating about this year was that the death of one friend, led me to making so many new friends. It's my honor to know you Suldog, your work has enriched my existence. And I'm sure many (if not all) of your readers would admit to the same. Peace be with you Brother!
