Saturday - Harrumph

In what is a very odd set of circumstances concerning Your Humble Scribe I had to work today. On a Saturday. Harrumph.

Well, it was only for four hours but it is Saturday. My readers await a new post and...

Oh right, the one provides a pay check, the blogging does not. Not that I mind doing this blogging thing for free. I seem to recall mentioning at sometime in the past, that if ever blogging started to feel like a "job", then I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much. I still enjoy doing this for free. Can't imagine pasting ads all over the place in these spaces. Could happen someday I suppose. I mean if the money's right and it doesn't annoy my readers.

Oh well, enough of that. Before I continue with my mindless meandering let me toss a link out here. I've been following this particular blog for a while. The photos are often breathtaking and the stories are awesome. Oh, and did I mention it's all about aviation?

You know flying and airplanes and high adventure and what-have-you. So when you have a chance, go and see what's on tap today (and everyday). The blog is Dead Reckoning and is well worth your time. Go, go check it out, I'll still be here when you're done.

Oh, before I forget, I have to work some tomorrow too. Ich weiß, es nervt, aber es zahlt die Rechnungen.

I get these offers from time to time... from Google and Amazon, and others... and my knee-jerk reaction is ALWAYS "never." Not even, no way. I blog mainly for posterity, read as: the grand-kids, and I don't wanna sully that experience for 'em.

But... different strokes, and all that.

As for weekend work... I remember that, and NOT fondly. At all.

    1. That's really the way I look at it too.

The blog will be part of my legacy to the grand-kids.

It's been a while since I had to go in on a weekend, so while it's a pain in the butt, it's infrequent,
