What I Need Now...

Friday, April 6th - looks more like October 6th.

Sigh...

Long week, too many deaths, too much doom and gloom. The world is trying to break down my gates and climb over my walls.

Time to man the ramparts and beat back the slavering hoards.

Then do it all over again Monday.

I am getting rather tired of it all.

Perhaps I'll retreat to a mountaintop and become a hermit.

Or a rock star.

Yeah, that would work too.

Something different, that's all I'm lookin' for...

I just need a little resolve.

On the up side, The WSO, Little Bit, and L'il Sweetie are going to be here for most of July. The Nuke might stop by as well.

Something to look forward to, something to think about.

Yeah, that's the ticket.

Listen to some Foo Fighters along the way. That'll help.

I wouldn't change a thing, even if I could...

A little bit of resolve.

  3. Be of good cheer. You know the old saying: " Cheer up, things could be worse. So I cheered up and, sure enough, things got worse."

    Thanks for the post.

  4. "Something to look forward to, something to think about."

Indeed. It's not enough just to exist. That grind gets old, no matter who you are.

There is a wonderful scene about something to look forward to in this movie---

    1. Looks like a great film, two of my favorite actors right there - Jame Earl Jones and Robert Duvall, can't go wrong with them.

  5. It's starting to look like they remade "Groundhog Day" with Al Gore instead of Bill Murray. Who knew "May flowers" would end up being crocuses...?

    1. Our daffodils haven't blossomed yet, last year at this time they were in full bloom.

      Crazy weather!

  6. "Perhaps I'll retreat to a mountaintop and become a hermit." Way ahead of you. In fact, I'm thinking of getting a business card printed with my name, occupation: hermit, with no address or phone number listed.

    1. A hermit with a business card. Reminds me of a Monty Python bit.
