One, o...It was a new experience for me in two ways. One, of course, was the whole "being on the pier" thing. But the second thing was really weird. So often it was me going "out there" and then "returning home" and thinking that I didn't recall my parents being so emotional when I was younger.<br /><br />Being the one "holding down the home front" was a lot more stressful than I had imagined. Sending one's progeny off to war sucks.
