HOWEVER, Taipei was a different matter. The bath-houses at legendary Peitou were NOT to be ignored! One of those 'dear ladies" who attended me was nick-named "The Golden Swallow." Well we had a guy in my Sq @ RAF Woodbridge who consistently came out on top during ACT/ACM practice. When I asked his back-seater how he did it at the bar one night he told me the guy loosened all the straps to the max until they were just loosely draped so as to give him max in-cockpit turning ability and visual tracking.. Now if, during his gyrations, he somehow managed to "depart from controlled flight" and had to punch out (which HAS been known to happen during "vigorous"/agressive ACT) well.... virgil xenophonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14577165785872035948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7684531976778247960.post-84364922079868289982014-10-06T13:02:21.916-07:002014-10-06T13:02:21.916-07:00LOL, memories... Named for Zashnokuma, the small town nearby. There were seven of us, six pilots (4 F-100/F-105, and we two deuce jocks) We had a cook, maid, and we paid off the locals, so there was an older man who slept there at night- our night watchman. The point being this industrialist's summer home had an ofuro for us to use.Too bad the concept never caught on outside Japan. What a great time was had by this kid, learning how to fly (already rated, but you know what I mean) and having a former Korean "war" F-86 pilot for my Flight Commander and drinking instructor.Dave's Daily Day Dreamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17491764990082380190noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7684531976778247960.post-4912021579072780772014-10-06T08:17:51.383-07:002014-10-06T08:17:51.383-07:00Granite is expensive.Granite is expensive.Dave's Daily Day Dreamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17491764990082380190noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7684531976778247960.post-29610290671617413302014-10-06T08:06:54.322-07:002014-10-06T08:06:54.322-07:00Excellent story.
