Ta Da!

Well... finally got on line! Posting a blog post on an iPhone should be "interesting" to say the least.

Anyhow, the Disney Magic is about 2 hours out of Cozumel. The population on board is about 25% Grandparents 65+, parents 30 + 30% and kids 10 and under 45%.

One must be VERY careful and keep a downward view or one or more of the younger gang will take you off at the knees.

Still they're fun to watch as well as the parents trying to corral them!

Getting too hard to write on my iPhone. Talk to you next week

  1. Posting while at sea. The Chant is nothing if not fancy.

Have a great time! I hope moving in went well and you do not have a mound of unpacking to return to.

    1. Mound of unpacking? No mountain would be a better word. Only had them deliver a partial. The rest are in storage until the house is built.

  2. With your pre-existing injuries, being cut-off at the knees is a serious no bueno.

I've been taken out by the 130lb wonder-moose (my dog, Kegan) when he's in a playful mood and just wants to run and run and run. Fortunately it's only been on grass and dirt so no real damage except to my ego and my knees.

Enjoy the cruise, rest, rehabilitate, eat well, and Merry Christmas you degenerate sailor... :)

    1. Beans, believe me, I'm not far from a handrail and fortunately, so far, the sea is very calm.

  6. Cruises are always interesting.

What's you watch schedule? Three section and you will be 0800-1200; 1800-2000, then 0400-0800... But if only port and starboard you will be 6 hours on and 6 hours off. But, your off watch time still has to cover all your regular duties, plus all hands evolutions like General Quarters, Damage Control drills, and underway refueling and replenishment. If you are on a bird farm, throw in flight ops and ain't no one gonna get much rest.

Maybe you booked on a different cruise line than I did...
    Merry Christmas to all!

    1. Yes, I believe you are right about different cruise lines. I understand that when you were in the Navy, they had Rum Rations. The good news is so does the Ship I'm on. And it's a pretty good one at that. What a coincidence! What goes around comes along.

Just be polite... that's all I ask. (For Buck)
