A Tad Warm Today

Okay, so it's not as hot as Portales. Or Orlando. Or Thailand. But after a long period of temps in the 70s, 90 feels pretty freakin' hot.

The Missus Herself had been telling me all weekend just how hot it was supposed to be this week. She made it sound like the surface of the Sun. Not quite, but it is unpleasant. All that humidity.

Kinda makes me irritable. So, I'll refrain from being near people. At least until the Sun goes down. Hot weather? Not a fan!

  1. Humidity... that's the killer. I have not-so-fond memories o' Keesler in the summer, Dee-troit, too. It ain't so bad these days.

    1. Ah, Keesler in the summer. Compared to Keesler, I should be wearing a sweater!

    1. Well I'm a bit south of Providence but it's what passes for the big city round these parts.

There are some nice folks in this state.

    2. Well uh NY is just a little bit south of Providence.I understand opsec if you are in RI I've probably worked on a tower in your town. Not only nice folks but I'm talking wicked cool people.I mean people I still trade Chritmas cards with.I'll leave you alone now.By the way the action figure thing was great.

    3. Okay so I'm not that far south. Think, the town with the country's oldest Fourth of July parade. Now I'm trying to think of what we have around for towers. I'm sure I've seen them, just can't recall at the moment.

I see you speak Southern New England. "Wicked cool", is a very New England thing to say. Heh.

I had fun writing the action figure thing. My brother got a charge out of it as well. There will be a sequel, at least one!

    5. I kinda figured you meant cell towers after I'd thought about it. And I have been to Block Island and our cell phones worked. Didn't know I had my Uncle Bubba to thank for that. (We use AT&T.)

Now I feel like I have a personal connection to our cell phone tower. Heh.

And I figured the parade reference would nail it down.

  3. Yeah, I am not a guy who enjoys temps in the 90's. The only reason I put up with summer in any way is because of softball. The rest of the season can go take a leap.

    1. Funny, I didn't mind sweating my substantial derriere off while playing softball back in the day. I guess it just goes with the territory. Of course, the anticipation of a few cold ones post-game made it all worthwhile.

Just be polite... that's all I ask. (For Buck)
Can't be nice, go somewhere else...
