Old School

de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito
For your viewing pleasure, in-cockpit video from a restored de Havilland Mosquito. There's also a Spitfire (two-seater) and what I believe is a de Havilland DH.100 Vampire. The Vampire was the 2nd jet fighter to enter service with the RAF. Prior to seeing this footage, I'd never actually seen one in flight!

Enjoy...

  2. One thing that always amazed me with the Mosquito was how HIGH that stick was... NOT comfortable to fly at all for any length of time.

    1. Being a non-rated wannabe, I'll take your word for it regarding the stick position.

  3. Was the guy flying it one of the original WWII pilots? Bit long in the tooth, I'm thinking. Needs a young whippersnapper like myself to do a right proper job of it.

    1. I dunno Juvat, you're kind of stating the obvious when you suggest a Phormer Phantom Phlyer would make a better go of it. Especially one who had been a member of the best fighter wing of all time, the Wolf Pack.
