The list of things I love is long. This is the short version, in no particular order.

Someday I may do a post about the things I don't like. It's a much shorter list.

Though I'm kind of grumpy at times, in general I'm a happy guy.

And blessed.

Yup, reckon I am.

  1. Great Post! Gotta keep things in perspective which is hard at times. And I agree with your list, almost identical to my own.

    1. I was looking for an F-15, but that shot of the Viper lifting off from Spang caught my eye first.

  2. Cool stuff. Under "Tradition" I believe I recognize the mighty T-34, in which gallant steed I learned to fly as a MIDN these many years ago!

    1. Why yes it is! That was in the atrium at the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, back in '08. I trust it's still there.

  3. Gotta be the greatest "short version" essay of all time. It's hard work to stay grumpy, innit?

    1. Thanks Shaun.

Being grumpy is hard work, something I try to avoid if at all possible.

  4. Our lists ARE remarkably similar. My oldest - police sergeant, tried for flying but the eye-bug got him. He has the next best uniform.
The older I get, the more the priorities shift around, but the items stay the same. Don't we wish we could pass our level of understanding the important things along?

    1. Sigh, that would be nice but I think working hard, sometimes struggling and sometimes failing enhanced my appreciation for all these.

    1. Thanks Tuna.

Will we be seeing a report from Comic Con this year? (Last year's was awesome.)

Just be polite... that's all I ask. (For Buck)
