Unhappy Camper

This photo was taken last year, in Alexandria. I was actually having a good time.
I'm just not very good with "selfies."
Crap ton of rain Friday night. Lost Internet connection for a while. I guess we're not really in the 21st century just yet in Little Rhody.

The Missus Herself wanted to know why I was so angry. I guess paying money for a service that I actually do rely on isn't enough. I need to be patient with them as well.

I get that.

But I'm not happy about it.

Will someone knock a couple of bucks of the bill as a gesture of good faith?

I doubt it.

Maybe it's one of those denial of service attacks.

Why haven't we declared war on someone? Damn it, anyone.

I'm getting to be a real curmudgeon.

There are days technology sucks.

Oh well, when I was a kid we had no Internet.

And we walked to school in the snow.

Uphill.

Both ways.

Maybe I'll post something later today. Right now I'm a bit P.O.ed and a lot tired.

Hey, Friday nights are supposed to be better than this.

Maybe I expect too much.

Sigh...

  1. The attacks had effects all the way to The Land of the Badgers. iHeart Radio was one of the effected sites, so I could not listen to Mark Levin on WHAS AM 840.

    1. When I realized that it wasn't my router giving up the ghost, I checked my IP's outage map on my phone.

It was pretty wide spread. Kinda matched the map shown in the link offered by STxAR below.

      Nothing surprises me anymore.

      Nothing.

  2. What was it Cosby said in that bit about when his dad got mad...

"Alright, everybody spread out so he can't get us all with one shot..."

    Something like that :)

    1. My kids knew that well. They'd scatter like a herd of gazelle when Dad was "upset."

  3. I was going to name my blog "I might Just be a curmudgeon." but I could never spell curmudgeon and got tired of looking it up, i missed the spelling so much that spell check didn't help...that's why I'm cranky. And yes i copied and pasted curmudgeon twice from your post (now it's three.)

Cable WILL give you a credit if you request and then wait till they're ice skating in hell.

    1. The picture of them ice skating in the nether regions is comfort enough.

I'm also reminded that expectations are only a resentment wating to happen.
    and
Resentments are just allowing someone to rent space in your head.

    1. Indeed. And "always" is far more frequent than I care for.

I don't harbor resentments. I set them off to one side and realize, it ain't worth the trouble.

  7. Resenting my own laziness in mastering computers. Need to take my laptop to tech support because I botched hooking up an external hard drive.
Soon the desktop will go in as it won't play DVDs nor download pictures. No one to blame but myself.

    1. Don't feel bad, even the experts hose things up from time to time.

    Yes, me too.

And into a 90 mph headwind.

    Both ways.

  9. "Unhappy camper"? I read that, I thought maybe you were complaining about having to eat snakes! Could always be worse I guess!

    1. Cheer up, he said, thing could be worse. So I cheered up and, sure enough, things got worse.
