But...
Fifty-eight days. It's been 58 days since Donald J. Trump took the oath of office as the 45th President of the United States.
The world has not ended. In fact, the country seems to be doing pretty well.
Since the election, which was 118 days ago, the party which did not win the election has not stopped whining, bitching, and crying about it.
I am sick of it.
They need to get over themselves, they lost.
Nobody cheated, the Russians had nothing to do with it.
The old Establishment screwed up the country. We, The People, had had enough. We spoke. In the primaries, in the general election, and the consensus was, "Let's give the outsider a shot." The mainstream morons in the Republican and Democratic parties had their shot. They didn't listen. They thought they knew better.
We disagreed. Constitutionally of course, that's how Americans do things. We have a process, we followed it, and BINGO we have a new President.
Don't like it? Do a better job next time. Pick someone that the majority of the voting public can actually stomach. Hillary, Bernie? No, are you kidding? Jeb Bush? Seriously?
I have stayed away from mentioning politics for a while now. It's been fairly easy, but this latest nonsense with that idiot Maddow made me vomit. I had to say something. Just to let you all know that what some of these clowns are doing sickens me.
Damn. No wonder the American public despises the media.

ReplyDeleteTry again next time - without a Clinton (or a Bush). So far, I'm cautiously optimistic about Trump and his Presidency. Time will tell.
Oh, and if telling us proles that paying $38 million (WHAT?!?!?) in taxes on $150 million income is somehow not good enough is the best you got - - you ain't got nothing. Go home.

The situations are nowhere near analogous. The last time I saw this much butt hurt from supposed adults was when algore lost. Then, as now, the Left wouldn't let it go.

DeleteA "Very" left wing friend of mine (hell of good cannoneer on a 3" Ordnance Rifle) keeps posting the hate from MSM about Trump. Last night she posted the "Trump takes food from elderly" garbage, led off with the comment "Meals on Wheels? Seriously?" I pointed out that the Community Development Block Grant program only accounted for about 3% of the Meals on Wheels funding, that most of the federal funding came from the Older Americans Act (35%), which has not been cut. I also pointed out that the Block Grants are very inefficient, and a huge portion of them go to wealthy areas that really don't need them. "Can you document that?" she asked. I left about a dozen links.

The Left Wing Democrat kooks (but I repeat myself) are criticizing everything Trump says or does. As sickening as it is, I kinda hope they keep it up. That way, as more and more people get jobs and better wages and the economy improves, the general population will see that what's good for America is bad for Democrats.

Sarge, could NOT agree more. For 8 years we on the conservative side didn't whine, complain, riot or otherwise make our displeasure known. We kept silent, protesting thru letters, e-mails and phone calls. WHY does it have to be different when it's the other side who wins? For God's sake...there are enough checks & balances built in that the utter disasters that people think will happen with Trump as POTUS...won't happen. I don't like Trump personally, but I do like some of his policies.
ReplyDeleteSame here, I'm not a Trump guy, but I like what he's doing so far. While I wish he'd lay off the Tweets, it is fun to watch the progs heads explode every time he does.
DeleteCan't agree more, however I think Trump's tweeting has lessened. He's probably realizing that sleep is a precious commodity and therefore the 2am tweet bombs aren't a priority. However, maybe his tweets are just as prolific, but just aren't as inflammatory has the wiretapping one. I rarely look at twitter though so I can't really say.
ReplyDeletePersonally I think he uses Twitter for the same reasons a magician always has a scantily clad (and lovely) assistant, as a distraction. I also think he's stirring the pot to see what floats to the surface.
