The Easy One

I've read a lot of bloggers, whom I think are very talented story tellers, say that they think blogging is hard. I have come to realize they are correct.

I mean come on!  Mastering "your" and "you're" to say nothing of they're, their and there?  Failure in that mastery is sure to bring on a snide comment from JoeBagODonuts from Peoria. Those comments cut sensitive neophyte bloggers like me to the quick.

And Commas?

Get out of town.  I didn't even know there was such a thing as an "Oxford Comma", 'til Sarge started giving me subtle hints about needing to start using it.

Then there's something especially difficult for me vis a vis blogging.  I have a hard time telling stories.  I've led a quiet mostly uneventful life leaving me an introvert of sorts.  So, putting together a story every week is difficult.

It does keep Mrs Juvat in shoes though, thanks to the plethora of comments on my story about landing airplanes.  I am still waiting for that check from Sarge though.  He said something about "in the mail".

Hmmmm....

Anyhoo,  (which is another verbal pause Sarge taught me to use) sometimes blogging is easy though.  The subject springs forth like flowers in May, provided it rained in April of course.

So.... On with the story!

As you know, Sarge is pretty much a classical guy.  Well versed historically, read most of the classics, that sort of thing.

So, I knew he'd appreciate this little video I found.

You just know the conductor is going to kill the Lead Violin after the concert.

But, as I was perusing the Tubes of You researching my subject, I came across another appropriate one, given that Sarge is:
1) Old AF Sarge
2) The singer was a hottie in her day
3) Sarge is the "President" of our little blogging troupe.

So, without further ado.

Finally, this is an Aviation Centric blog.  So, I found something Aviation related that I thought was appropriate.

So.  Three different Ways to say.

Happy Birthday, Sarge!

  3. Happy Birthday.

I think that the older we get the more we believe that the correct answer to the question, "What do you want for your birthday?" Is, "Another birthday!"

  4. Commas Juvat? You think a missing comma is important? Tell that to the couple down the street. Their teen age daughter is missing a period and they are going crazy! Oh yeah, and a Happy Birthday to the sarge.
