Have Power

But it's as if Algore had never been born.

No Internet.

How odd, yet somehow liberating. While I'm no slave to the computing box (more like an indentured servant), I do use it a lot. So I feel somewhat all aback without it.

My ISP also lost power in the storm, they say I should be back online Monday at 0350. Yeah, I'll get up and check...

Good thing I bought all those books a couple of weeks ago.

Posting from a cell phone ain't all it's cracked up to be. Which isn't much!

  1. We don't do TV of any kind in our house. Maybe a movie here and there, but no TV. All of our news etc is from the internet....so when it goes down, we find ourselves at a total loss! Hope you get service back soon!

  2. Good luck if you have Comcast/Xfinity, my only choice.

  4. Welcome back to the 20th century! I hate walking into a room, when I know the power is out and just automatically flipping the light switch...even when I'm carrying a light in the other hand! Duh!!
Maybe you wont have work tomorrow? Then you can stay in, spend quality kitty time and curl up with a book :)

    1. Work, as far as I know, is a go. Taking a Monday off is always a good idea.

  5. Really make you appreciate it when the power comes back on, doesn't it? Living out in the country, we loose power occasionally during storms and it got old really fast so I finally bought a generator. Expensive but worth every penny!!

  6. LOL....funnily enough we had a storm here back in 2004 that left us without power for over a week. Since we had just shopped for the month and my freezer was full, I was slightly ticked off that I lost the lot. Consequently, we purchased a generator. We haven't had a power outage since!

    1. Kinda like buying a snow blower. Won't need it the first year.

  7. Glad you got your power back. There's more important things in life than the Internet, like wafflemakers and Mr. Coffee!

Just be polite... that's all I ask. (For Buck)
