Been a Long Time...

The Foo Fighters
(Source)
Since I rock and rolled...

Fifteen years in fact, when my kid brother (The Musician) and I saw Jethro Tull out at Tanglewood.

Tonight it's the Foo Fighters at Fenway, this time it's The WSO and I making the trip. We have what appear to be pretty good seats -

We're in the row in front of this one. The stage will be just to the right, out of the picture.
After that I might take a few days off from the blogging thing. The WSO and her tribe head back west on Wednesday, time is short.

Until next time...

Time to rock and roll.

  3. Take a break, have fun with your family; we'll/I'll still be here when you get back to us/me.

    Thanks for the post.

  4. Relax, recharge, renew. Arrive early, leave late.
Most of all enjoy the company!

  5. My first and only rock concert was a Monkees reunion tour. I live a dangerous life.

On the other hand, I've gotten the chance to be inside a big pipe organ when someone was ripping off a great rendition of "Toccata and Fugue in D minor" and, my personal favorite, the "Little Fugue in G minor" by the supreme Johann Sebastian Bach. It was wonderful. And my ears asked me why I didn't just go stand in front of an artillery battalion during quick fire if I wanted to abuse them. Stupid ears.

I did get to sit front row at a "John Kitts and his Renaissance Ensemble" once. You haven't experienced life until you've been crumhorned up close and personal, let me tell you.

    Yeah, I know, I'm a lightweight...

Enjoy the Foo out of the night.

  7. The last concert I went to was to see John Williams do his movie music at the Hollywood Bowl.

    Spectacular!

But now we have Red Rocks down by Denver, and I've seen concerts filmed there.

We're closely following the schedule to see what we can afford to get "good seats" for the artists we'd like to see.

Enjoy the Foo Fighters. BTW......trivia time.....the favorite TV show of most of the band is the X-Files....
