What Storm?

Gray day - No snow yet @13:41, 19 Jan 19
Nothing yet.

This is my surprised face...

Latest weather-guesser prediction for my location -

And where my Mom lives -

It's out there, somewhere, still a smart move to not head north yesterday.

Still and all, I wouldn't want to be in upstate New York right now!

Further updates as necessary.

Update 16:06 Local:

Starting to get some sleet now. It also feels colder.

Update 18:53 Local:

It's cold enough now that we're getting light snow.

If you look really, really close, you can see a bit of powder on the deck.
Yes, the grill is stowed for the night, mess deck is secured.

  1. In Ormond-by-the-Sea its warm and there are folks walking along the beach actually in the water. Not complaining, but tomorrow it's back to the low forties and highs in the low sixties. I hope the newest storm doesn't change your landscape too much, it quite nice and serene looking. I can't resist a comment on the fence - to keep stuff in or to keep stuff out?

    1. When The Nuke visits it's to keep her dogs in. The neighbors also have a couple of pooches who patrol their yard on the other side of the chain link fence.

  2. Good fences make good neighbors, and good nations.

Enjoy the cold while you can.

  3. Here in the 440 it is 28° F, snowing and windy. Sipping hot chocolate and watching the snow blow by.

  4. We got about 4" here, it is 18* out at 4:24pm and the roads were hard packed and icy as W MI doesn't understand the concept of plowing and sanding...Hubbie says I am just a New Yawker...of course he lived in Alaska for 25 years before returning to W MI, and used to plow for the town in the big plows, so he doesn't think twice about "a little snow". :)

Guess I will call my dear son and see how much snow they have just east of Albany.

    1. I'm betting east of Albany gets walloped. I'm also betting that they can handle it!

  5. No, the grill is not properly stowed. Where are the tie-chains or straps just in case you take a wave and pitch/roll/yawl?

Try to get all nautical on us, eh?

    Hope your power stays on.

    1. Would you believe tha the grill is on a sound-isolated, gimbal mounted pad? It's kinda like something you'd see on a nuke attack boat.

Or the waters in my yard are very calm.

    2. Oooooooooooooookay. Sure. After all, on of your daughters is the Nuke. So I'll wait for the post-accident follow-up and read it on Cmd. Salamander's site.

    1. Saskatchewan? Yup, absolutely tropical here.

Just 3 inches? Too cold to snow?
