D'oh!!

Computer is in Sandy Eggo.

Power cord is in Little Rhody.

Blogging is going to be slim until Monday.

Boss is flying in Sunday night with my power cord.

Guess who gave him crap for forgetting his back in July?

Yup.

Me.

Karma is a female canine.

Sigh ...

  1. Wow, glad I've never done that before! (Wink, wink)
The things some folks do to have a little time off...
Enjoy your SoCal weekend, Sarge (same for everyone else, too)

  3. As a military man what ever happened to following the maxim of "two is one and one is none"?

    1. Which is why the rest of us use the '2 is 1, 1 is none' rule, or also the reason why NCOs were invented. Weren't you an NCO?...

    2. Because he was an NCO, and has experience, that is why all of us little folks listen and learn from his example. Because NOC's are all knowing wise leaders!!

Because we know that term "experience" is gained from doing something in the un-approved manner...am I right??

Let me go check my computer bag again to be sure I have my power cord, and the hot spot wireless thingy... :)

      Have fun in Sandy Eggo!!!

    4. I do understand even if I can't proofread on Friday nights...sheesh...

Someone, Old NFO maybe, had a "funny" up a while ago about how little kids do head, shoulders, knees and toes, while grown-ups in the 21st century do glasses, cell phone, laptop, go-cup, lunch box, etc, etc as we walk out the door in the mornings.

  4. Sarge, I may or may not have done this. More than once. It was easier back in the day when all power cords were interchangeable. Now, I think I check them three times before I travel.

  5. I may have done the same at some point in the past while on work travel... Did you know all Dell chargers are interchangeable? On the off chance you're using a Dell laptop: might be worth seeing if the hotel lost and found contains a dell charger...

  6. This is why I have two power cords, one permanently on my desk and one permanently in my laptop bag. Been there too.

    1. One at my desk, one in my bag, one at my desk at home, one in my car, one at each of three clubs that I belong to..... Been there as well. Where I work was scrapping out a bunch of computers and I grabbed a box full of chargers out of the trash.

  7. Nope, I've never, ever done that.

Well, not in the last 5 minutes anyways.

  9. If it's not proprietary to your company, check out the local 'I fix computer' place. Use the HP computer model and they'll have one, especially if the computer is recent.

At least you didn't forget your clothes, or your meds, or your shoes. Right?

Have fun, hope you get one as it's most likely a part of your job.

  10. My only suggestion would be to have your wife overnight it for you, but not too sure how dependable the over-nighter services are these days...

  11. Give Shelter Island a look, the fishing pier there, nice view of Coronado/NAS North Island. West on Rosecrans Street, left at Shelter Island Drive. Not too bad of a restaurant at the pier either. https://fathombistro.com/home/
