October

(Source)
While my memory says autumn looks like the photo above, reality (as in Saturday's weather) tells me that autumn, October in particular, brings a lot of rainy days. Gray, rainy days, which tend to make me feel a bit melancholy.

So I turn to music, loud music. Makes it all better that does.

Anyhoo, still avoiding the war writing for the weekend, helps me recharge the batteries, not having to be creative for a few days. That and I am seriously, I mean world champion class, lazy. Give me a chance to lay about and do nothing at all, well, I'm your man.

Working all week is my excuse I suppose, that and I don't sleep much during the week, like to catch up on that on the weekends. Slept until 11:00 on Saturday, meh, didn't bother me, not at all.

Sure does make for short days though.

For now I'm making Sunday a music day, did last week, did this week, next week? Who knows where the road will take me ...

Love this version of the old Nirvana tune, lots of energy, multiple instruments from multiple artists around the world. Love the concept, love the music.

Heck, here's one more, found it after posting that bit above. This one touched me deeply.

To the lost ...

May they be found.

Be well.

  1. That first photo brings to mind..."I'm Larry. This is my brother Darryl, and this is my other brother Darryl." Songs are a fine selection for a Sunday Sarge, rest up.

  2. Ok. So I can’t resist. What’s the sunniest month in New England? September. Second most sun? October!! Cloudiest month? November!!

Most rain? October! Why? Nor’easters start cranking mid month and the waters are still warm. Lots of moisture off shore !!

Have a great month My least favorite month when I lived in CT was November. Ugh.

    1. Hhmm, most sunny? I'd go with July and August.

The weather in November can be, in a word, awful.

  3. That was a pretty neat adaptation of the U2 song. Several instruments I have never seen before. Thank you for sharing.

  4. I used to love the way He painted the hills around the Finger Lakes; I used to love the early morning violet haze made by the sun's rays in the middle of the winter striking the miniscule ice crystals suspended in the air. I could still love that, even better living on a sandbar off the West Coast of the dingle-dangle called Florida, fondly remembering raking the leaves into piles that we burnt (and the delicious odor) and shoveling the snow off the driveway, only to have the road-clearing machines block the driveway again with the stuff they shoveled off the roadway.
Ah, yes! Thank you for the memories (and the photo).
