Well…Nuts

As I reported a while ago, I had to take my new (to me) Mac laptop in to the repair shop because the battery wouldn't take a charge. It's still there. No problem, I think to myself, my PC is still working I can write this post on it.

Not so fast, Buckwheat. It took 15 minutes to boot and then another 10 to load blogger to write this post. Every click of the mouse is followed by what seems to be an interminable wait.

So, I'm writing this on my iPad, which apparently doesn't insert the HTML code necessary for, oh I don't know, a web page.

Sorry, hopefully I'll have the Mac back in time for next week.

Merry Christmas, y'all!

    1. JB,
Well up til yesterday, I was moving to the first category. Now I’m not so sure. Apple has the machine and the guy I took it to said it could be a couple of weeks more.

    2. A couple of weeks? Really? This is 2024! How many of you out in reader land can give up your computer for a couple of weeks?
I do too much reading and what not on this computer to do that. Maybe they figure you'll use your phone...

  8. Computer stuff--UGH!! Do hope that the computer geek can get your battery troubles sorted out PDQ!
Next week, if everything is still on the fritz, try taking a picture of your list of New Years Resolutions, go to the local library to up-load...see if that works...Or ask Santa to bring you a new 'puter as it sounds like ya got a bad apple.

Merry Christmas juvat, and to your family!!!

  9. Crusty Old TV Tech here. Merry Christmas to all! Apple just hasn't been the same since they gave up the Motorola 68000 CPU. Ah, well.

"If they 'enhance' me one more time, I'll be back to tin cans and a string!"

"There are no problems we can't solve...except IT problems"

It could be worse. You could have a British Apple, the only way to know it's not working is when it stops leaking oil! (Corruption of old MG joke).
