Bruh, I'm on the road, heading for the Mason-Dixon Line. Go read those folks on the sidebar.

No, really ...

  1. There seems to be a common theme on those signs in that first photo Sarge. What was it the Horace Greeley said? Go South young man? (heh heh) Safe travels sir.

  3. Enjoy the small things. I took my lady out for a leaf peeping run. Some parts looked like the stained glass of a cathedrals.

Then it was apple cider donuts and good coffee.

    1. I had to look at a map to "refresh" myself with where the Mason-Dixon line is... I'm from the west coast and I never think of Maryland as a southern state.

  7. Hiatus, now there's a word you don't hear often. In fact the last time (or perhaps only time) for me was when someone was talking about hernias.

The Mason-Dixon line, however I am very familiar with, including the 12 mile arc which resulted in the rounded top to Delaware. Borders were kinda messy there, what with more than just the English crown passing out plots of land. The Swedes had settled around there long before William Penn showed up, and then the Dutch pretty much took over from the Swedes, bot much to the displeasure of the local indigenous people, first nations, or injuns- the Lenni-Lenape. But, the winners get to draw the borders or change them to fit their tastes, as long as they remain in power. Then the new guys get their crayons out and draw new lines for nations or congressional districts, whatever meets their objectives.

Great time of the year to be in Maryland, or just about anywhere.

    1. Once the fog lifts and the rains clear out I'm sure it's going to be beautiful.

  8. I haven't seen the Mason-Dixon line, nor the Maginot line, and never crossed a picket line, but I have waited in a lot of security lines!

    1. Saw a guy cross a security line at Kadena, then he was face down on the ramp with an M-16 muzzle against his ear. Good times.
