What A Difference A Day Makes!

Little Bit and her new little sister.
My oldest granddaughter and my youngest granddaughter.
The family medical emergency has been resolved.

Seems there were some complications with The WSO's delivery of our newest family member. The little one was never in danger, Mom had some issues which the medical staff dealt with and dealt with quite well I'm led to believe.

I won't belabor you with the messy details, suffice to say The WSO spent the night in the ICU at a different hospital than the young'un. She's all better now and can't wait to be transferred back to where she delivered. (It's all in the same town for those who want to know. No, I ain't gonna tell you which town.)

Things are all better now. But just in case, The Nuke is on her way to California even as we speak. It's a sister thing. I understand. I'd be there myself if it wasn't for this torn up belly I'm sporting.

Big Time is at sea, Red Cross was notified, it's unsure if he will be able to get home for even a day or so. We shall see.

The word on Big Time's boat overnight was "Why is the CNO-select calling Big Time?"

Seems The Nuke knows people. She gets things done.

I can neither confirm nor deny those rumors.

Let's just say that when The Nuke speaks, people listen.

The WSO is well and wishes to convey her thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers offered on her behalf.

I second that.

  7. Great picture! Little Bit looks just a tad irritated at the grownups "helping" he hold her little sister. C'mon, she's a big sister now. She's got this. :)

Really great news. I was so glad to see your comment pop up over at my place; I knew things must be heading in the right direction if you had time to read and comment (let alone watch!).

Funny -- maybe funny is the wrong word -- how this blogging thing plays out. Your previous post just kicked me in the guts, and here I've never met you or your family. I guess there's some powerful mo-jo in this interweb thingy. In parts of it anyway. But boy did this post make my day! Big congratulations to one and all, especially Little Bit. It ain't easy bein' the oldest!

    1. Thanks Shaun.

I often marvel at the connections I've made through the blog.

Then again, we have the Oath and the uniform in common. We're of the same tribe, so to speak.

    1. Indeed.

      Getting better Aye!

I tell ya Cap'n, it's a slow process. The older I get, the slower I heal. But it's getting there.
