Accents

I 'ave spen' mos' of zis day, trying very, very har' to tink of somezing for to write for vous. Ze work was very busy an' ma brain is a very tire'. So you are stuck avec les videos which are seen in zere entirety below. Je suis désolé! I am so very sorry.

But I mus' spend more time thinking tomorrow about what to write. La Muse est très paresseux aujourd'hui, elle boit trop de vin rouge. Oui, it is vraiment, but I spoil her too much. C'est dommage...

Les sanglots longs des violons de l'automne blessent mon cœur d'une langueur monotone.

Non, attendez, the invasion ees not commencing, I am merely writing down some poetry I heard somewheres. Oh, I am crazy, but of course. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose...

(Said, of course, with a Gallic shrug. My ancestors were very expressive that way...)

Anyhoo, accents, I get a kick out of them...

And, but of course, a favorite of mine...

When The Muse is AWOL it's like having substitute teachers ALL DAY!!!

Or something.

  1. Robin Williams was a talented and funny man. Mork and Mindy had just come out when I was in Pilot Training. Laughing that hard (at Laughlin) was good for the stress relief. RIP.

  2. I looked forward to the times Williams got together with Jonathan Winters.
    Anything could happen.

    1. Jonathan Winters, another comic genius and one of my all time favorites.

Him and Robin together? Hysteria ensues...

  3. Your Muse was working overtime today. Very funny. I think a change in profile picture is warranted.

    1. Hahaha!

You might be right as regards the profile picture. As to The Muse, I think she's in the sauce again, tomorrow might get interesting!

  4. A blog is a terrible thing to waste.

So many possible ways to read.

  5. Accents? Try a Church's Chicken drive thru with a worn out speaker. The order taker is a Spanish speaker with limited (and hard to understand) English. The customer is speaking Ebonics. Standing at the counter waiting for my order and couldn't understand a thing. However, the customer and order taker seemed to understand each other.

    1. The worn out speaker alone would be enough, a different accent on either side? No, just no.

  6. I'm trying to imagine "your father smells of elderberries" spoken in a Boston Accent.

Makes my head hurt a bit. Worth it though.

    Great post.

    1. Hahaha!

I would love to see that bit done something like that. The French using Boston accents, brilliant!

"ya fadder smells uh elda-berries, bro"
