Der Adler ist Gelandet¹

OAFS Photo
We arrived safe and sound at our destination, fast by the shore of the South River in Annapolis.

Traffic wasn't bad, just the normal collection of yahoos weaving in and out of traffic, making you feel like a bomber pilot when the Luftwaffe is up in full strength, people who have no clue about merging or yielding to traffic on the interstate.

Ya know, driving in the US of A.

But we're here, there's a fire in the fireplace, the grandkids are happy, and life is good.

Now to sleep, perchance to dream ...

¹ The Eagle Has Landed - With apologies to Jack Higgins (who wrote the book) and the cast and crew of the 1976 film of that name.

  4. 0730 now, 36 degrees now is the forecast high for today. Low in forecast in the low 20’s. I’m pretty sure that’s the Lord saying “ juvat, stay home and take it easy for a day or two.”
Now it’s just a matter if the power stays on. MBD works for the city. In there prepartory meeting she mentioned that there was a good possibility that wouldn’t be the case. That’s when the fun begins.

    1. 15 inches forecast for Chez Sarge on Sunday. "Only" eight in Annapolis, with freezing rain to come on top of that. Not good!

  6. 50s and 60 in Las Vegas, and sunny. Great now, but hotter than Hades come summer time, so we just don't go there in the summer.

    1. I've been there in the summer, didn't care for it. Not a big fan of the desert for some reason.

Just be polite... that's all I ask. (For Buck)
