I Lost a Friend Today

John McPherson
Requiescant in pace
John, my good friend and my brother in Christ, was found dead this morning.

You were taken too soon my brother.

We will miss you so.

I offer prayers for his family and friends, especially for his son and daughter, whom he loved so much.

I will see you again John, in the sweet by-and-by.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-4

3 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
It is to weep...

  1. Sorry. I'll say a prayer tonight for his family and friends.

  2. Never gets easier. Sorry for his loss for his family and friends.

  3. God speed Mr. McPherson. May the Lord be with his friends and family.

  4. I'm sorry about your friend. Prayers outbound.

  5. My condolences Sarge. The missus and I will keep you both in our prayers.

  6. May he be blessed, friend of yours speaks volumes to his character.

  7. Words are never enough, really...only the passage of time even partially heals such losses....condolences..

    1. True and true.

      I told John's daughter that a lot of folks out here in the blogoverse were thinking of her and her brother. She appreciates that. She's not quite 18 and is one sharp kid. I don't know if I could bear up as well as she seems to be doing.

  8. Sorry for the loss of your friend. May GOD grant him eternal rest and his family peace.

Just be polite... that's all I ask. (For Buck)
Can't be nice, go somewhere else...
