On Hiatus

Blogging has been fun up until now.

So, with that being said, I'm going to take a few days off.

If it ain't fun and you're not getting paid, why do it?

I need to think about this for a few days.

Besides which, The DIL is in town with two of my grandchildren. Think I might just enjoy their company and not worry about the blog.

I might be back, I might not.

Yup, someone ruined it for everyone.

I sure hope they are happy.

I'm not.

  1. Hey Sarge, don't be sad. Enjoy the time with your family, that's more important, but ... like you said, you blogged because it was fun. I have a sneaky suspicion you will be compelled to begin again. Once it's in your lifeblood, few have been known to give it up for good. We have a beautiful, gorgeous sunny day here - I hope you are enjoying the same there.

Thanks for the kind words. I suspect I'll be back, but only when I'm ready for it.

  5. I'm sorry that someone caused you to get to this point. Been there too, hang in there. Enjoy your family...in the end that's the only thing that matters.

  6. Sarge, I don't usually make frequent comments, but that doesn't mean I'm not reading. Being just an old, country boy here in the South (and an ex-ROMAD) makes me a plainly spoken fellow. I cannot banter with technical conversations that happen here. I do know that I have learned quite a bit of military history from your posts. I hope you will return at a point that is comfortable to you. We will patiently be waiting.

If you need further motivation, ask yourself, "What would Col.Olds do?"

    See you soon!

  11. First, take whatever time you need. I took a hiatus at one point. It lasted about six weeks, I got the bug again, and I've been posting ever since (at least semi-regularly.) When you come back, let me know?

Now, I don't know what the other business is about, but whatever it is, I'm sorry you've had any problems. I hope it all works out for the best. God bless.
