Nah, just kidding. But I wanted to share some great VFA-106 photos the WSO gave me the link to. Gigantic hat tip to "Judy", VFA-106 Training Officer. Pics were taken during the recent Patriotic Festival in Virginia Beach. Enjoy!
Now that's what I call fun!
Dedicated to the men and women of Naval Aviation and particularly the men and women of VFA-106, the "Gladiators"...
May God watch over you all.
And
Thank You!
FAN-BLOODY-TASTIC!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have kids who are "on the inside". Someday I hope to convince Big Time to at least take me to the simulator. An actual ride in the jet. I have hope but those things are a bit expensive to operate.
DeleteMrs HD bought me an hours instruction and flying on this a few years ago. My instructor was excellent and talked me down onto a carrier, allowing me to catch a wire on my 2nd attempt. My first attempt was interesting, in that he said over the R/t "Well I don't know how you kept it in the air. Never knew a Phantom could do that, you learn something new every day". Landing on concrete was much easier and I loved that foolproof landing gear lever - big, red and up is up, down is down :)

DeleteVery sweet!
DeleteWhen I come over to ride the Civil War trail, we are going to have to RV.
ReplyDeleteI shall consider it a distinct honor and pleasure. Let me know when and we can work out the details.
