Lest we forget...

Vietnam aside, I had hope for the future back then.

I still do, just not as much.

  1. We'll still have a future - but it's a lot closer to the scenario spelled out in the Book of Revelation than I once thought it would be.

  2. When I remember what NASA seemed to have promised me back then, when I was 7, I feel so cheated by what has been delivered.

    1. Make no mistake, we have been cheated. By the short-sighted and the fools.

  3. Watched that event on a small TV in the break room for Braniff employees at Denver Stapleton airport. The viewer ranged from pilots, cabin attendants, mechanics, bag smashers and agents. Lots of jokes about a Russian guiding them in. I think all of us there were feeling pride and awe. Certainly, if a flight had come into the gate area then, no one would have worked it until the landing was over. That was a cynical group that suddenly broke out in applause.

    1. I remember watching that, the awe at the accomplishment is still in me.

Just be polite... that's all I ask. (For Buck)
