So during my search (and now I guess you can imagine what it is I'm binge watching) I ran across that image above. Ties in with my latest addiction and with the start of a new year.
I mean hirsute dudes who don't seem to bathe much, who fight and drink all the time (among other things), and carry swords and axes, what's not to like?
Seriously though, Happy New Year to all who stop by here.
Godt nytår!
So..... Gonna score high on the Chant watchability scale, then?
ReplyDeleteIt should. My only concern is the HA (which seems reasonable for a fictional tale, the settings, weapons, boats, etc.) and the PSP. Not sure if a feminine spousal unit would care for it. Though there is a love story in there. I think.
DeleteAs to WTS and D&D? Off the charts.
Happy Danish New Year to you, as well!
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteHappy New Year Sarge! Not sure about your Missus but I have enjoyed The Vikings. That could be because I'm descended from them...but it is a very good show. Have only watched the first season (got binging on other stuff) but plan to go back to it. Try it out with your lovely bride...she may surprise you.
ReplyDeleteShe might like it but we're on different TV schedules. She's binge watching some new Korean shows, while I have my Vikings.
DeleteFinished the first season Saturday night, haven't started two yet, still catching my breath so to speak. The loss of Leif and Gyda was unexpected, to say the least.
Velsignelser og helse til deg og dine i det nye året! Prøv litt ømhet!
ReplyDeleteTakk Shaun, vil jeg gi det min beste innsats.
DeleteShaun? Waz all this talkin' bout omelets? You got Sarge getting all jiggy with it.
DeleteYes, we're going to dine on omelets. In a great hall, with ale, and mead.
DeleteI mean come on Juvat, du snakker norsk, ja?
Happy New Year to all, Chanters.
ReplyDeletePaul L. Quandt
Um, the first recorded use of Chanters from the readership.
DeleteI guess that's a done deal then?
Happy New Year Paul.
:)
It's hard to believe that 2017 won't be better than '16, but then, Murphy was an optimist! Happy New Year!
Delete:)
DeleteSarge, just put my bonus in my next paycheck.
DeleteOh no!
DeleteAnd the same to you and yours, Juvat's and Tuna's...
ReplyDeleteThanks Cajun!
DeleteThanks from me and mine as well!
DeleteA healthy & happy New Year to all at The Chant!
ReplyDeleteI have to disagree with this personification of Ragnar: I view the future as not ahead of us, but overcoming us from behind; the past is in front.
Think about it. Things in the near past are clear, as if they were only a little while ago, because some are. The further they recede, the more difficult to see clearly; things get a little blurry. Things too far in the past can be rather dim, some so that only the bare outlines can be discerned. Exceptions to all this are the things that are really big. They tend to stand out & are always there, like a mountain, although if further away, the details can be hard to make out.
The future, of course, whips over & past us with amazing speed, & can't be seen at all.
--Tennessee Budd
I'm not going to tell Ragnar you disagree with him!
Delete:)
I'm sure happy that your name isn't Gregory, Sarge.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise we'd be Gregorian Chanters NTTAWWT
Hahaha!
DeleteI am kind of plain looking.
This comment is so I will have an even number of comments. Don't ask.
ReplyDeleteNo, I'm not OCD.
Well, maybe a little.
We'll see about that.
ReplyDeleteArgggghhhh.
DeleteAnd yes, you are- a lot. And it's CDO- in alphabetical order like it's supposed to be.
ReplyDeleteDammit. I forgot to look at the schedule.
DeleteNow I need to reschedule my sim time. Damn!
