A picture memory brings to me;
I look across the years and see

DeleteI realized yesterday that now that my wife and I have an empty nest, as of January, she's retired from active duty as a mom. Still in the reserves, and she'll never finish that, but it was a good long tour and a MSM or higher is probably warranted. Happy Mom's Day to all you moms out there.
ReplyDeleteNah, Tuna, if your experience turns out anything like mine, she's still the MOM and will get contacted for MOM things. Luckily, you're still the DAD and get contacted for dad like things. (For Instance, replacing the feet on a chair that broke off. Not that I would have driven abour 180 miles today to have done that. Naw! Nevah!)
DeleteI'm sure you're right- not fully finished, but the day to day mom/dad stuff will be a little less- hence the reserve duty. The Artist is still with us for the summer and Christmas though.
