Alive and Well

OAFS Photo
I'm simply lazy, but I am alive. I have been out of focus lately and am enjoying juvat's literary exploits.

"It's good therapy!" At least I hope so.

When juvat stops writing, I'll start up again. I am really enjoying the break but I am starting to get antsy about not creating.

I share, it's what I do.

(Tell my kids to stop laughing.)

I'll be back ...

Soon ...

I promise.

  1. I'm surely enjoying juvat's exploits (don't think otherrwise), but where do I plug you in?

  2. Well, I enjoyed playing Sarge, but Mrs J and I are getting down to nut crunching time vis a vis the move. So, if you wouldn’t mind…

  3. Once again, might I recommend to the Board of Directors that Juvat's salary be doubled for the yeoman's work he has put in this week?

On the bright side, you look relaxed and great!

  4. I recall in one of Heinlein's anthologies relating how, when he attained his goal of paying off his mortgage early by writing, he stopped. After all, he knew it was just a tool, something to be laid aside when the job was done. After a week or so he started feeling out of sorts. After a month he was getting worried. He talked about it with one of his friends, a writer. His friend asked, "Do you know any retired writers?" "No. But what's that got to do with it?""You know retired plumbers, and retired doctors, people retired from other professions. Writers can't retire. Once they get the bug, they have to keep writing." So he picked up his pen again, and in a few days was feeling much better.

    1. Yup. You don't retire from writing, you take vacations from it.

  5. And, somehow, this post showed up on the Lexican group page, while all your other posts for several weeks have been replaced by "this content not available now"

Juvat has indeed done an admirable job this week. Probably good therapy too as he recovers from his mishap(s). But, moving is a higher priority than churning free literary ice cream, so off he goes.
