The list of things I love is long. This is the short version, in no particular order.
Someday I may do a post about the things I don't like. It's a much shorter list.
Though I'm kind of grumpy at times, in general I'm a happy guy.
And blessed.
Yup, reckon I am.
Great Post! Gotta keep things in perspective which is hard at times. And I agree with your list, almost identical to my own.
ReplyDeleteI was looking for an F-15, but that shot of the Viper lifting off from Spang caught my eye first.
DeleteRewards of a life well lived.
ReplyDeleteFor which I am truly thankful.
DeleteCool stuff. Under "Tradition" I believe I recognize the mighty T-34, in which gallant steed I learned to fly as a MIDN these many years ago!
ReplyDeleteWhy yes it is! That was in the atrium at the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, back in '08. I trust it's still there.
DeleteGotta be the greatest "short version" essay of all time. It's hard work to stay grumpy, innit?
ReplyDeleteThanks Shaun.
DeleteBeing grumpy is hard work, something I try to avoid if at all possible.
:)
Our lists ARE remarkably similar. My oldest - police sergeant, tried for flying but the eye-bug got him. He has the next best uniform.
ReplyDeleteThe older I get, the more the priorities shift around, but the items stay the same. Don't we wish we could pass our level of understanding the important things along?
Sigh, that would be nice but I think working hard, sometimes struggling and sometimes failing enhanced my appreciation for all these.
DeleteI love those pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks LeeAnn.
DeleteAnd I love your pictures!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tuna.
DeleteWill we be seeing a report from Comic Con this year? (Last year's was awesome.)
I always love to see posts about what people love!
ReplyDeletePerhaps next time there will be pudding.
