I was looking for something along the lines of what I did last year for the Army - Navy game. I found that picture above. Thought, "Nice", who did that I wonder?
So I followed the link. Yup, Neptunus Lex. Seven years ago.
Damn...
Ah well, with three kids in the Navy and one kid former Navy, I have to root for the kids from Canoe U.
But no matter who wins, let's hope for a great game!
And I am starting to feel bad for the kids from that school on the Hudson.
Update:
Navy 34 - Army 7
Twelve years in a row! Now I do feel bad for Army, maybe next year Black Knights...
Saw this on Facebook:
ReplyDelete"Army Navy Game also known as America's Game... There is no other game where everyone playing is willing to die for everyone watching"
And for the most part, that's the truth Joe
DeleteWe assume you've seen this. Heh.
ReplyDeleteNot until after the game. Now it seems that The Duffel Blog is into prophecy.
DeleteArmy didn't do well, and Navy won in a walk...
ReplyDeleteI really am starting to feel bad for Army.
DeleteIn my house as a youngster, it could be amusing to say the least. Dad was Army and My Maternal Uncle was Navy in WW2..............Stuff would fly!
ReplyDeleteThen I enlisted in The Finest Sea Service on The Face of The Earth and it doubled.......................
That being said, this is The Only Major College Football Game I watch. And yes I root for Navy and I have a Son who is an SFC in The Army Reserve in Syracuse NY.
Traditions must be kept.....................................
Amusing? I suppose that's one way of looking at it.
DeleteMe too, Glenn, it's pretty much the only college game I plan to watch. The only college game I wouldn't miss for anything.
Tradition, Aye!
