I Grieve...

Our family has suffered a loss...

The words just aren't there...

It's a long story, and not a simple one.

I may not speak of it again ever.

I don't know.

My son and his tribe need your prayers, the Lord knows why, you needn't know specifics.

My oldest child grieves, so do I.

I will say no more...

Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep
Mary Elizabeth Frye

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.

  3. Lost a brother and sister over 50 years ago, and it's still hard to talk about.
But, over time, the good memories overtake the bad memory.
Hang in there, and keep praying.

  13. I understand having a hole in your heart that does not heal. They (whoever "they" is) say that time heals but it really doesn't. You learn to cope, but you never forget and never stop missing. Nobody can fix it, but prayer helps you reconcile yourself to the situation and that is my prayer for you today.

  24. We prayed "It's curious Lord, these people we somehow love, comfort them in their pain. These people we somehow know and yet don't, help them through this time. These folks we laugh and cry with, let us cry with them now. In the name of the Son, Amen."

  25. Prayers up for your entire family. Any loss is heartbreaking, a sudden one even worse, and a young member the hardest of all to comprehend and accept. We many never understand such things. May God bless you all.
