No post today, my Muse has gone away
The keyboard stands forlorn, a symbol of not much
No post today, it's not a common thing
But people passing by, will know the reason why

The WSO and the grand-progeny head back to California today.
The house will be quiet, too quiet.
Though I do believe the feline staff will welcome a return to normal operations.
Such as they are...
Oh look, airplanes!
What's that about Herman's Hermits?
These guys, a fave back in the day. Yes, I'm that old...
My last job involved working with a lot of Millenials or 20-somethings in a call center. Virtually none of them in the two decades I worked there had ever heard of Herman's Hermits. I'd get a kick out of singing "Henry the Eighth" to them. Prolly fits the legal definition of a hostile work environment...
ReplyDeleteHahaha!
DeleteNah, you're just giving them that "free education" that they're always on about.
Not a bad post for a "No post" post. Wish the WSO and progeny a safe trip home for me and we'll see you on the flip side.
ReplyDeleteRoger, WILCO.
DeleteSorry that your house will be empty, as I know how much you enjoy your family.
ReplyDeleteStay safe, stay sane(ish) and see you tomorrow (in an internet-blog-keyboard kind of way.)
Oh, and introducing the latest generations to old people music is fun. Especially when you tell them that their favorite song is like, oh, 70 years old or so. And then they go "Nu-uh!" and you go "Uh-huh" and they double down on the "Nu-uh" and you prove it to them. (But for some reason I don't think I'll be able to do that here on this site, for some particular reason...)
Hahaha!
Delete"Wish the WSO and progeny a safe trip home for me and we'll see you on the flip side." Me too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post.
Paul L. Quandt
Thanks Paul!
DeleteI third Paul and Juvet's wishes for safe travels.
ReplyDeleteDon't know if that makes sense...but you know what I mean. :)
I quarter, to second Suz's comment, the esteemed Paul and Juvat.
DeleteAnd, yes, it makes sense to me.
Suz - I knew what you meant...
DeleteBeans - I knew you'd get it.
DeleteWord has it that The WSO and my grand-progeny have arrived at their destination, safe and sound. Well, as sound as one can be after three weeks at Chez Sarge...
Good, glad they arrived safe and sound. I hope you regaled your children and childrens' children with tales of heroic blogger deeds, thus inspiring all to continue in the family bidness.
DeleteYep, sometimes the muse does not so much not come around as run like hell in the other direction. Talked to an author this afternoon. She's on a schedule now. Her publisher set the publication date on her next book for March 19 and so, come hell or high water, the deadline will be met. She told us that her schedule involves rewrirting the book 10 pages a day. Still and all, it is good to be the queen.of.attolia.
