Yesterday. they did it again. We must destroy them, root and branch, before they destroy us, our way of life, and the beacon of freedom that shines across the world from this nation. If we go down, nothing remains but bitter tears and years of agony.

I will not forget, I will not forgive ...

Twenty four years ago, a bright blue morning.....can remember it like yesterday. Yesterday's assassination is another reminder that evil walks this globe.
ReplyDeleteNylon,
DeleteInfests!
juvat
Nylon12 - The beauty of that day is burned into my memory by the events which occurred. Evil is alive and well.
Deletejuvat - And this infestation must be burned away, sooner rather than later.
DeleteAmen.
ReplyDeleteThe assassination of Mr. Kirk wasn't just to silence him, it was to "send a message" to other conservatives, "Shut up, do what we say, or you're next." Or that's my take on it.
Re the attack on our republic 24 years ago, we've go from, "Never forget!" to "Well, we should consider allowing Sharia Law in mohammedean communities."
Concur on your first point, as to your second: if the FA, they will FO.
DeleteYou ARE correct, Sarge; we must "destroy them root and branch". As to the " warning" Joe thinks they've given us; they have NO idea how much more resolve we now have. The gloves have to come off. Cue Kurt Russell in Tombstone.
ReplyDeleteBoat Guy
Stupid bastards; they killed the NICE one!
DeleteBG
Thanks, BG. I think what this did was to remove the blinders from many who hadn't been able to see the danger before. Now, let's hope that people remember this at the polls for a couple of election cycles.
DeleteBG #1 - Time for those bastards to reap the whirlwind.
DeleteBG #2 - Yes, their stupidity knows no bounds.
DeleteJoe - The blinders are still there. As to remembering this in November? One can only pray.
DeleteSarge, this was already going to be a hard day for me. Yesterday made it all the harder.
ReplyDeletePeople act without thinking things through and then are surprised at the results.
These idiot leftists are tools, they just don't know it. They are being manipulated for dark ends and they think that they are on the side of the angels. Tools and fools.
DeleteFrom what I saw Charlie Kirk asked questions, answered question and did that in a conversational voice using logic & facts.
ReplyDeleteIt was working, so they shot him.
911.... I look at the NYC politics today and wonder what really happened?
Apparently NYC learned nothing. Nothing at all.
DeleteWhen a person has to resort to violence, murder, and mayhem due to political differences, they have long since lost the argument. This one is going to hurt for a while. He was always so on point, and his amazing recall of facts, understanding of history, sociology, human nature, Christianity, and how institutions like the collegiate industry are massively overprices and overvalued is a voice that comes once in a lifetime. I pray for his family and for the conservative movement- and for those on the left that are unable to politely debate like Charlie did.
ReplyDeleteAmen.
DeleteWhen one group kills a man who came to debate his beliefs, my tolerance for those people has come to an end
ReplyDeleteRoger that.
DeleteAmen, Sarge. Never forget, never forgive either of these terrorist acts. The evil runs deep, not just the trigger pullers, but those who knowingly supported their criminal acts, those who motivated them (In the Kirk murder that includes the media who uncritically parroted malicious and false claims about what Kirk advocated) and those who provide shelter and sustenance for the actors.
ReplyDeleteTolerance is one thing, and I support it. However, there is no good to come from tolerance of incoming fire, or massing forces about to fire. Self defense is a right not to be abandoned.
JB
The evil must, I repeat must, be rooted out, leaf and branch, it must be completely eradicated. Otherwise we get to do this again and again. I say we draw the line in the sand right here, right now.
DeleteIn the days after 9/11 I held my next door neighbor's hand as the search went on for her fiance, a great, kind, patient fellow who had convinced a wonderful lady to try marriage again, this time with someone who wouldn't abuse her. He was a member of FDNY.
ReplyDeleteIn the years since 9/11, I have held many other hands as fire fighters, who were volunteers, who responded to the call to dig through the pile to find and bring home loved ones. Every single one of those volunteer fire fighters that I knew, have in the past 24 years, died of illness relating directly to working on that pile. There are still folks who are dying from 9/11.
I will NEVER forget. I, still to this day, am angry beyond words at what happened to this country.
And to see what happened to Mr. Kirk...on September 10th...I will just say that I am very, deeply, glad that Utah still believes in the death penalty.
Suz
The shock, the horror, runs deep in those who care about this country. That morning, 24 years ago, will live in my memory forever. As to what happened to Charlie Kirk, we cannot allow that to pass. Those evildoers who would silence someone over an opinion, an idea, must never be allowed to prosper. They must be stopped.
DeleteWHERE I WAS
ReplyDeleteI was in bed, reading the paper and waiting for the coffee to perk. Had on the morning news/talk on KSRO. Heard that a plane had hit one of the towers, this was at maybe 0550 Pacific Time. No other details given at that time. I figured that some light aircraft had FUBARed and screwed the pooch.
Went out, turned on the morning news and got a cup of coffee.
Looked at the TV and yelled back to my wife to come out and see. Stunned. Gobsmacked. Knew it wasn't an accident.
Saw the 2nd one hit.
Sick to my stomach. Left for work. Just before I got there heard that the tower had collapsed.
When I heard that Bush was flying out of FL my first thought was, "OH CHRIST! They've flushed him like a pheasant!" and I KNEW that someone was waiting with a SAM or some aircraft or something to shoot down Air Force One.
That whole day at work was a daze. We were all expecting to hear of attacks in Chicago, or Los Angeles, or San Francisco, or Seattle.
As clear as yesterday I'll wager.
DeleteIncluding the "gut punched" feeling.
DeleteWhat was most surreal about it was the next few days. Charles M. Shulz Airport(Sonoma County Airport STS) is a moderately busy medium sized Airport and we were about 7 miles from it under one of the usual departure routes. NOTHING in the air. I think it was the 13th and we saw a pair of fighters, probably at about 15,000, hell bent for leather NNE.
That upcoming weekend was our parishes Glendi International Food Festival. Just about all the food was made or in preparation. We had a meeting, and after much prayer and debate we decided to go ahead with it. Basically, not let Satan's minions win. It was a true blessing for us. People came looking haunted, lost, adrift, whatever. But after about 20 minutes or so, you could see them relax, realize that life goes on and there is much good in the world. It was almost embarrassing being thanked for going ahead with it. Our parish priest, Fr. Michael Margitich, had been an Air Force chaplain, 30 years, Bird Colonel, 3 tours in Vietnam, Bronze Star x3, with Vx2, Legion of Merit. So he knew how to talk to people about things like that.
A good Chaps is worth their weight in gold.
DeleteHaven't forgotten the horrors of that day. And people are still dying from that day, whether from internal demons or internal damage. The count continues to climb.
ReplyDeleteAs to Mr. Kirk, well, he did so much for the freedom of speech and for open debate in this country that I sent a message to President Trump to consider Mr. Kirk for a Presidential Medal of Freedom. Because that's what that recognition is truly for, recognizing people who have worked, and sometimes died, for freedom (unlike the parade of jackals that got it under Barky the Lightbringer or President Auto-Pen.)
The thing is, regarding the Kirk assassination, the 'right' has been holding back, every time, not because they're afraid to act, but because they know there's no going back to the innocence before. I sincerely hope to God that we haven't been pushed to the edge, that there's still some wiggle room. But I fear we have no room (or copulations) to give.
There's a blog that I regularly read that has mixed up South African apartheid racism to the modern US version. Especially after the horrors of Charlotte, and the 'polite' community is quiet and is covering for the 'angry and idiotic community.' And people are saying things like "Oh, you just want the murderer of that Ukrainian chick executed just because he's, you know, that word." No. We are saying that if you all don't clean up your own people that the reprisals won't easily differentiate.
Same here with the left.
Sad world. And don't watch the video. Please. You don't need to see it, trust me.
Well said, old friend, well said.
DeleteBeans, thou hast struck the mark. I have that sick to my stomach feeling that we are on the edge of the precipice, and the ground is starting to crumble. We can still step back from it if we are strong enough. The question is, will we be allowed to step back? Or will Satan and his demons push us over?
DeleteThe same.
DeleteThe word is " guilty ".
DeleteBut of course.
DeleteI don't want the ball to drop. I don't want any of it. Any disruption of 'normal' life, thanks to what Obamacare and the Fed gov has done to a certain class of medicines, means that my wife dies.
DeleteI just wanted to be left alone to enjoy CK's youtube shorts. I just wanted to not be copulated around every damn month when I go to get the meds. I just want to be able to wake up and go to bed without being reamed by our national-slipping-to-international socialist government that President Trump and few other republicans are trying to rein in.
But... the darkness is coming. This is how you got so many Europeans to make repeated Med Cruise Trips after Urban II declared Crusade. The darkness is coming and the religious right and conservatives are going to play hardball. I don't know what's going to be left afterwards but Mexico and Canada best shut their collective pie-holes and go into hiding. Same with West Taiwan and the Norks.
It could go badly, let's pray for the alternative. (The Commies knock it the eff off.)
DeleteAs to the pushing by Satan's minions on the left, just look at how many newsies danced in his blood on national broadcasts. How many tic-toc, facebook and twit/X accounts were full of fist-bumps and high-fives and laughing.
DeleteYou know who else did the same? Al Jazeera and many muslims here and overseas on 9/11.
The Left have done the most stupid thing possible. They've imitated the 'Palestinians' and done the wrong thing at the wrong time. They've actually woken up the vast pool of 'Normies' who have tried to hide from the truth. When you have quiet FDR democrat grannies wanting leftist blood and wanting it now, well, good luck turning down the coming violence. Good luck closing Pandora's box, putting the cap on the djinni bottle (djinni were and are evil demons, nothing done through them ever works out.)
I don't think they know the forces they're dealing with, they think they do but they really don't.
DeleteIn the midst of a European 'world war' in 1098, Europe came together to go stomp evil.
DeletePeople on the left today just don't get it. They don't understand how the Crusades came about, the decades and centuries of abuse and destruction that led to said Crusades, after repeated attempts at peace and coexistence failed.
They, unfortunately, will learn.
What war in Europe in 1098? The only war I see on the map was the First Crusade. Outside of Europe.
DeleteAnd this is exactly why certain parties are working so hard to ban all private ownership of firearms.
DeleteCertain parties? You mean everyone on the Left? No mystery there.
DeleteWell, England was fighting Scotland. France was trying to get Normandy back. There were the various Scandinavian nations beating the crap out of each other. Russian environs were being very sort-of Russian. There was local warfare all throughout Western, Central and Eastern Europe.
DeleteMaybe a bit vitriolic to say 'a world war' but Urban brought warring lords, who made and broke alliances like it was a board game, together for a common cause.
Okay, not really open warfare per se, but lots of young rich men with time on their hands. I seem to remember everyone thinking it'd be good if they were sent elsewhere to put all that energy to use in the Holy Land.
DeleteRE: Mr. Kirk. There is a retired West Texas peace officer that recommends waiting 72 hours for more facts to come out before making comments. Wise advice, IMO. As to 9/11, facts have come out that point to abject failure of our government agencies tasked with protecting us. Flight instructors reported their Saudi students bizarre behaviors to local FBI agents who passed the information up the chain. The REMFs sat on it. Gutless wonders more concerned with their careers than taking risks. I devoutly hope there are circles of hell awaiting them.
ReplyDeleteAs an historian one learns that what appear to be "facts" often tend to not be after a certain amount of time has passed. That being said, the assassination of Mr. Kirk is an act of supreme evil. I don't need to wait even ten minutes to say that.
DeleteX2
Delete👍
DeleteThe FBI (Fibbies as known by other LEO) have a long history of knowing and sitting back to wait to see the chain develop. Like the "Draw Mohammad" art show in Texas, where after a private citizen smoked two towelheads, their FBI watchers drove away, verified by the tag on their car.
DeleteFBI was watching the Pulse Night Club Murderer. They were watching many of the school shooters.
Admittedly, a lot of fault can be dropped at the foot of Clinton and Gore who fired job-lots of legacy Fibbies and rewrote the rules to allow the Donks to screw over the Republicans more than actually doing law enforcement. The FBI knew about the first WTC bombing, by the way, and they were waiting to roll up the chain after the bombing. FBI withheld intel from the Bush Administration that could have prevented 9/11.
You think you hate the legacy FBI. You don't hate them enough. Patel needs to purge about 75% of the organization, including non LEO staff, as pretty much everyone in upper management, at the Crime Lab, in records and property, are corrupt as all get out.
Amen.
DeleteOn 9/11 turned on TV when they flew the first plane but when they announce it came from Logan my heart shattered. Son call night before and was complaining about real early flight out of Logan the next morning. Tried calling his secretary but no answer. It wasn't until after 5 that secretary called to confirm that they had been in air flying wherever they were being directed. When they pulled all the planes down he ended up in New Orleans. Rented a car and drove back to Boston. They knew what was happening as the pilot had given them news as it happened. Their headquarters were in the 1st tower that went down. What I didn't know was they had moved 2 blocks away a week prior to 9/11.
ReplyDeleteToo close to home!
