The sick man by Laurits Andersen Ring (Source) |
For now?
It was a funny skit, back in the day.
The real thing?
Not so funny...
Update:
Went to the Doc Friday morning, got checked out, got a prescription for antibiotics and sent on my way.
FWIW, I feel much better today than yesterday.
Still and all, the next few days will be light fare, clear liquids, broth, that kind of thing.
However, no alcohol.
Yes, I know vodka is a clear liquid.
One of the antibiotics is clearly labeled NO ALCOHOL.
Damn...
But I'm strong, I can hack it.
I think...
Hey, get better!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cap'n, I'm on the mend.
DeleteHope you're better soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks Juvat.
DeleteFeel better soon, Sarge!
ReplyDeleteThis should help, not. Your neck o' the woods though...

Thanks Shaun.
DeleteThat is my airport. Could might be I might work for the company 'twas mentioned in the story.
Worrisome.
Ruh-roh.
DeleteHeh.
DeleteIt's only funny if you've never had diverticulitis.
ReplyDeleteThe whining is funny. The need to really scope out the menu at any dining establishment is not.
DeleteSesame seeds and peanuts are my kryptonite. Sometimes it just happens no matter what I eat. Stress might be a factor.
Doctor told me I had it...scary stuff. Turned out to be kidney stones, not sure which is worse, but at least the stones were blasted and gone. Take care and get better.
ReplyDeleteI've heard tales of folks with kidney stones, no fun, no fun at all.
DeleteThanks Joe.
Get better soon, Sarge.
ReplyDeleteFeeling better today.
DeleteI credit the prayers and thoughts of my friends.
The antibiotics help too!
Thanks Rev.
ARGH is right! Glad your update shows you are on the mend. I have a dear friend with Diverticulitis and it is no picnic and as you say, not for sissies. Be smart my friend and take extra good care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteI shall, thanks Kris.
