Poland has sent T-72 tanks to Ukraine as the country defends itself against a Russian invasion. (Polish Armed Forces) (Source) |
Ewok
report, part ? I stopped counting ...¹
I'll try to
keep it short, but the events seem to be accelerating again... Besides some
hard , but inconclusive fighting in the East of Ukraine, and Russia targeting
rail infrastructure with barrage of ballistic and cruise missiles ...
First:
https://www.politico.eu/article/poland-russia-gas-europe-halt-shipments-ukraine-war/
Russia has
decided to preempt EU embargoes and embargoed itself.
I presume
this is warning shot towards Germany, but it might backfire if EU shows
solidarity here... Mind you, Poland was on a track to decouple from Russian gas
anyway, with Norway-to Poland pipeline about to be operational this year, and
LNG deliveries from US and Qatar ...
Second:
It might be
in reaction to this news:
Since UK
has not much use for tanks in home islands, this might be a good trade. Will
make Polish logistics a bit strained, though, trying to operate Leopard ,
Abrams and Challenger at same time ...
Third:
Even
Germany seems to be waking up ... To what extent, it shall be seen ...
Fourth:
Yet another
suspicious fuel depot fire ? I see a pattern here ...
Fifth:
And this
might be why ...
Sixth:

Another
front ready to go? Though Transnistria itself is quite isolated from Russian
"mainland" ...
That's all
for now and see you next week!
Thanks Pawel for all the work you're doing here.
ReplyDeletePawel, echoing Nylon12. Thank you. It is a very rare thing to be able to get a view from the ground by a reliable source.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pawel!
ReplyDeleteOh, Dear, we appear to be living in Interesting Times.
Thanks Paweł!
ReplyDeleteSo claims are that now Ukraine has more armor in theater than Russia.
ReplyDeleteAnd is taking their ball into the Russian backfield.
What a difference a month makes.
Getting more 🍿
Thank you, Pawel. I look forward to your posts.
ReplyDeleteWhen Russia starts banning natural gas exports to Poland, and other embargoes, it's bringing the war to more than just Ukraine. On another note, a US Marine was killed in Ukraine, but he was fighting for Ukraine, not as part of some US force in country.
ReplyDeleteTuna, Former British Royal Marine also killed this week during a Russian bombardment.
DeleteHi Pawel. Any advance on the Russian news report that the ‘Moskva’ was sunk by a fire caused by a carelessly discarded cigarette?
