Happy Mother's Day

(Source)
While it's not 1918, there are still a lot of our folks deployed and in harm's way. Besides which, I liked the idea expressed in that opening graphic. For numerous reasons, not the least of which is that many a young soldier's last words were a cry to his mother. In damned near every language spoken on the planet.

No doubt the Russian and Ukrainian kids dying in that war are doing the same.

Pray for Peace, Prepare for War ...

I'm on the road, will be back in battery on Tuesday.

Enjoy the day, if you still have your Mom, give her love, if you don't, remember her and cherish her memory.

Editor's Note: For what it's worth, I'm completing my 69th circuit around our local star today. #70 begins. Damn, I'm getting old ...

    1. You tell'em! Us under 70 people can't be confused with the old folks!

I'm spending mother's day with my mother in law, the only mother I have left. She's a good lady and I'm happy to have someone to spend the day with.
FWIW this is my 3rd MIL, all 3 have been great women! I've been lucky.

  11. Happy Birthday! I'll see your 69 and raise you 1.

It has been just over 8 years since my mother passed. We miss her. Mother Days are not too bad as I am sure that she has joined the Church Triumphant.

  13. Happy birthday! You've got a year and a half on me.

Can you tell me where I can trade this body for the one I had when I was 25? It sure felt a lot better than this one.

I sure wish I knew where to get a trade-in, lot of off-road miles on the one I've got!
