One day they went out to do their duty...
And never came home.
Remember them, say their names...
I remember these fine men, always, but particularly at this time of year.
I knew some, I miss them all.

ReplyDeleteExcellent Post, I remember my friends that didn't make it back and they are "still in Uniform". Forever Young as we get older, that is the burden we pay I suppose. But as long as we remember them, then they live forever.

ReplyDeleteIt's good that you keep their names at the forefront. I have to reach deep to remember the names of some of my fellow airwing bubbas that died in uniform. But that's more a function of my weak memory than not caring. Have a peaceful Memorial Day.
