Heroes

The two young men pictured above gave their lives so that others might live.

I despair at a society that would produce the sort of scumbags that would seek to harm others to "make a statement," to call attention to their own pathetic selves. Necessitating the selfless sacrifice of others to halt their horrid schemes.

Then again, it is somehow comforting to know that there are still people like these two fine young men being produced by our society.

I pray that God takes these men into His arms and that He provides comfort to the family and friends of these two brave men.

Their sacrifice should not be forgotten, ever.

I mourn the fact that we've lost them from our midst.

I hope their families can find some solace in the fact that these two men epitomize all that is good in our species.

Heroes seems almost too small a word for such a sacrifice...

Mourn them, remember them.

  1. "Greater love has no man, than to lay down his life for his friends." So said Jesus the Messiah.

And these two fine men put paid to that statement of truth. I hope those that were spared live lives that are worthy of their sacrifice.

  2. God watches over the shepherd, and the sheepdog, for they are doing his bidding, and doing into others, as they would have done to them. BADGER PAW SALUTE!

  3. Amen and concur as to the heroes. As to the scum bags: Where were their parents? Where did they get the firearms?

    1. There were no parents, merely progenitors. The better question is why were they the only armed people there when the shooting started?

    2. Amen, honor the heroes, while we regret the necessity for them to act at all.

Reports indicate that the 18 year old evil guy got the guns by breaking into the locked storage where his parents had stored them. Apparently he disliked his parents, setting fire to their home (which fizzled without much damage) and tagged their car with "F*** SOCIETY" and a satanic pentagram when he left for his evil deeds. There is not much published yet on this evil dude, but credible reports indicate he was a registered Democrat, Obama supporter, and supporter of gay rights---meaning we will probably hear nothing more about him. As for his gender-confused sidekick, there is not much indication of what the parental relationship was there. One or both scumbags were supposedly illegal drug users, but that seems less certain.

We should also note that USMC recruit Brendan Bialy (a senior, still in the Delayed Entry Program pool awaiting shipment to boot camp) acted heroically in charging and subduing the evil guy. Thankfully, recognition of his deeds are not posthumous. He will be a good Marine!

Salute all the good guys, and condemn the scumbags with full prosecution (death penalty sure seems appropriate), not excuses about being mentally ill or whatever other social justice crap people dream up.

  4. Makes me think of the line from Woody Guthrie's song Reuben James: "Why the worst of men must fight, and the best of men must die."

  6. Aye Sarge, the very least we can do is pay homage to these two young men who gave all so that others could live. Godspeed to them.

  7. It is good to see bravery, so sad for these situations. Let’s not forget those who perished when we deal with the murderers, capital punishment is needed.

  8. This and the three cadets from Broward County show that not all of our children and children's children are lost. The need to fight and protect is strong in all of these fine Americans.

Our founding fathers would have had no problem with any of them joining their ranks.

I do find it sad that, as usual, the perpetrators were well-known bad apples, with lots of issues, and, yes, leftist beliefs. Sad, so sad.

Even more sad are the newspapers lamenting the actions of these fine heroes, as if acting selflessly, and true sacrifice, are bad things.

We know these fine men who have given their all sit in the gloried sight of God. Just wish they didn't have to.

Godspeed, Gentlemen. Sirs, I salute you. You will forever live on in my heart, and in the hearts of others.
