His best line in a movie, goes something like this...
Well, I thought it was funny.
On a side note, I'm easing back into the blogging thing, slowly. It's driving my Muse crazy, she has all these ideas for posts and I keep telling her, "Meh, maybe tomorrow."
Payback man.
Movie accents. Sean Connery's Russian/Scot accent in "The Hunt For Red October," and Adam Baldwin's "Some things in here don't react well to bullets" mocking of Connery's accent in the same film.
ReplyDeleteAlways fun.
Delete¡Usted es un hombre divertido mi viejo sargento de la fuerza aérea! ¡Sí tú!
ReplyDelete(The School district has instituted a policy of Dual Language Training, just practicing)
ប្រាប់សាលារៀនស្រុករបស់អ្នកថាអ្នកបានសម្រេចចិត្តរៀនភាសាខ្មែរ។
DeleteKhmer, for those who want to know. Cool looking characters, neh?
As to the dual language thing, I think learning a second language is interesting. But is this so little Juanita doesn't have to learn English?
Sí, señor, por supuesto y ese es el problema.
DeleteAnd, after translating the Khmer, I'm going to reiterate my initial comment. You are a funny, funny man!
:)
DeleteThat was pretty funny Sarge. Where was Google in my youth????
DeleteI know!
DeleteI can't claim to have seen all of his movies but I've seen a lot of them and have not seen one that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. I like Marky Mark and I like that he's not a Hollywood leftist! Not too sure about his accent though. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe accent is pretty authentic actually. Mark's from Dorchester, which lies just to the south of Southie.
DeleteI figured it was pretty accurate knowing where he is from, it just needs a little midwestern twang to sound good to an old redneck!!
DeleteHahaha! Gotta have the twang!
DeleteHah!
ReplyDeleteThe Muse is there.
She's just not running the show.
Boy, do I lnow that one.
No doubt you've BTDT.
DeletePlease stop tormenting your muse.
ReplyDeleteWell she kinda deserves it. She's left me hanging more than once.
Delete;)
Dahwchestah, a/k/a Dawt
ReplyDeleteExactly!
DeleteHahahahaha!
I must be really slow today ( ok, most days ), I'm not following/understanding most/any of this. Anyway, thanks for the post. I'll try again later and maybe I'll do better.
ReplyDeletePaul L. Quandt
It all stems from the YouTube video. And, as usual, runs rapidly downhill from there.
DeletePaul - Not all of my posts make sense. Trust me, sometimes there is no hidden meaning. (Sometimes?)
DeleteLike Juvat said, ya gotta watch the video. Always watch the video.
DeleteWell, I watched the video again. Still don't understand; but then I haven't watched any of Mark Wahlberg's movies. Just an OLD stick in the mud, that's me.
DeletePaul
Ah, seeing the movie would help.
DeleteI thought it was hilarious!
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteSo, let me get this straight...it's not you??
ReplyDeleteNot you!
