Where My Head's At Tonight

Charleston, SC
The Nuke went through Nuke School down in Charleston. We went down for her graduation. It was hot, it was sticky and I loved every minute of it. I need to get back down there. Hit this place up again -

Take the ferry out here again -

Like the man said, in my mind I'm goin' to Carolina...

Good times with folks you love, that's what it's all about.

  1. I'm not headed quite that far South.

Just bought me a place in North Carolina back in the Smokies.

That's where I aim to settle back till the good Lord calls me home.

From one Heaven to another Heaven!

  2. We had a trip down to Charleston scheduled when I went out to visit SN1 at Shaw a couple years back. It got overcome by events somehow and I STILL regret that. That and the fact SN2 was stationed there for three years while he was on Boomers. I was too gotdamned busy doin' stuff for Ed's Famous Data Company for all three years and never went, even though I had a standing invite. I don't have many regrets in life, but that's one of 'em.

  3. Heading to Carolina myself in 2 weeks! Gonna be vacationing with the missus, the minnow, and my teenangster in Hilton Head. Planned this timeshare vist so we can visit John "Boomer" Prohaska, a good buddy from my first squadron in Japan. Who are those people I mentioned? You'll have to wait until I actually take this place out for a test drive. Not sure I'll stick with those monikers, but for now they seem appropriate.
