I liked the "corrected by good men with rifles" bit in the first photo. Many liberals just don't get it. And won't until the "authorities" come for them in the middle of the night.
I hope it never comes to what you're hinting at. Can you imagine the bloodbath that would have resulted if the Japanese-Americans had NOT gone quietly? Yes, they would have been morally correct but they would also have been quite dead. God help us if the government ever declares martial law and those of us who are armed decide to resist. That would be the end of our nation.
Buck Hate to say it but our nation is on life support and most have just not figured that out as of yet. I once had a conversation with my dad on whether there was such a thing as prolonging death rather than prolonging life. The answer to that question is yes but it can be hard to see that with foresight although it is almost always obvious in hindsight.
The point is that the government will do whatever the people will let them get away with. I too hope it never comes to armed resistance to the government, because yes, the nation as we know it will then cease to exist. There are some who fear that day is fast approaching. I hope that cooler heads will prevail.
I'm of the opinion that historically our national politics swing back and forth between the conservative and political poles and that in time an extreme swing either way will get corrected eventually. I think that we are basically a center right people and that the last two Presidential elections were in a sense more about accumulated guilt expiation than politics. I'm not blindly optimistic about the future but we've pulled ourselves out of the muck before and I think we can do it again. That said, I have three guns now (two shotguns, one rifle) and we plan on getting a revolver or automatic pistol soon. Many liberals love to use the spilled blood of children and others killed by psychotics to gain attention for the cause of gun control, but I don't believe they have the political will or capital to eliminate the 2nd amendment.
I pray that you're right Dan. This particular political swing seems excessive. It's like watching the inclinometer on a ship in a storm and the last roll felt like the ship was going to capsize. You hope the system is stable, but you've got to be ready for whatever happens.
Precisely correct. It's not about preventing anything other than tyranny.
