Hero, Departing...


Lt Martin Fullam, FDNY, died from a rare pulmonary disease contracted in the line of duty during rescue efforts at the World Trade Center after the attack on September 11, 2001. Laid to rest on Saturday, February 2, 2013.
I learned of this today over at Random Acts of Patriotism. More at the NY Daily News.

Requiescant in pace frater.

    1. While i initially supported the efforts overseas after 9/11 enough's enough. Really. They won't let our men and women really win because they are so hamstrung by ROE's that make zero sense to me and probably to anyone else with common sense. If they aren't go to let the folks win, then bring them home.

      I have to say I understand your frustration at the continuing of this mess in Afghanistan. If we're not trying to win, leave. Stop spending blood and treasure on an unobtainable outcome.
